Procida is the smallest island in the Bay and was named Italian Capital of Culture in 2022. Marina Corricella, with its fishermen's houses painted in every shade of pastel, is the starting point.
It's about 1 hour by hydrofoil from Sorrento. The island can be walked or covered with the small local bus in a few hours — ideal for a half-day trip or for escaping the Capri crowds.
The food is simple and honest, far from the inflated menus of the bigger islands. Try sea urchins in season and pasta with seafood.
